Golf Course Grand Re-Opening SEP 05 2012

Following a nine-month, nearly $2 million renovation, the Lady Bird Johnson Golf Course is scheduled to reopen Friday, September 28, with a special Grand Opening Event giving a limited number of golfers the opportunity to be the first on the new greens.
Course improvements and renovations at the 18-hole, par 71, 6,686-yard course includes a new staging area for tournaments, online tee-time booking, re-contoured fairways with industry standard 419 Bermuda, industry leading Champion Ultra Dwarf on the greens, new golf carts, concrete cart paths and an updated grill.
Grand Opening Events begin Friday, September 28, with lunch at 10:30 a.m., a christening ceremony at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at Noon. Entry fee for this special event is only $100 and includes lunch, dessert, two drink tickets and a commemorative Grand Opening gift. Proceeds from the Grand Opening will benefit junior golf in Fredericksburg. To make your Grand Opening reservations, call (830) 997-4010.
