Special Concerts Add to August Fun JUL 30 2012
Special concerts presented by Rockbox Theater and the Fredericksburg Theater Company will add to the fun in Fredericksburg this August.
On Wednesday, August 15, and Thursday, August 16, at 7:00 p.m. both evenings, the Doowop legends, The Diamonds, will be in concert featuring old time rock ’n roll and those great 50s vocal harmonies. They will perform their big hits including “Little Darlin” and “The Stroll.” Tickets are $37 to $47 per person. The concerts will be at Rockbox Theater, located at 109 N. Llano in Fredericksburg. The Fredericksburg Theater Company presents David Gaschen in Concert on Saturday, August 18, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, August 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the Steve W. Shepherd Theater, located at 1668 Highway 87 South. This Lubbock native and world renowned vocalist and performer brings his artistry to Broadway hits and Pops classics. Gaschen is one of Broadway’s Fabulous Phantoms, having performed the role of Phantom in professional productions more than 1,300 times. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for youth 18 and under.
