Old West, Texas Rangers memorabilia auctioned February 11 FEB 03 2012
The 45-year museum collection of the late Joe Gish will be sold during a public auction on Saturday, February 11, beginning at 10 a.m., at 502 North Milam Street in Fredericksburg, Texas.
A special open house public preview will be offered on Friday, February 10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on February 11 from 8 a.m. to sale time.
The collection includes many important saddles, approximately 100 badges, gun leather and gun rigs, vintage chaps, an early Stetson hat collection, Texas Ranger badges and artifacts, spurs and bridles. Also, included will be roping cuffs, framed western prints, movie posters, cattlemen’s association signs, Colt and Remington S.A. revolvers and saddles.
More than 500 lots will be sold and are only from the Joe Gish Museum.
Along with the auction, the Former Texas Ranger Foundation will be providing security and will be selling memberships and some of their items.
The auction is presented by A&S Auction Company of Waco.
